Time Management, Home Schooling, Working from Home

18th March 2020

Time Management.  Time Management, Home Schooling, Working from Home

Over the next couple of weeks time management is going to be very import to everyone. How many time have you said to your self “their is never enough hours in the day.”?

Over the next few week that is how I belie many of use are going to start to feel not to mention very stressed out and tired, both mentally and physically.

All I can say is take each day, day by day and make sure that you try to eat well and sleep well.

Many people will be currently looking at changing there life style with looking at working from home and home school their children.

Many of us will not just be worry about out selves but family and friends to.

So what can we do?

The fist thing that I am aiming to do with my family is aim to stick to the same routine that I would have stuck to as much as possible with a few changes thrown in.

My aim is to still wake up at the same time every day, eat at the same time every day and sleep at he same time every day.

With my children at home full time and not able to go any where I know that this will be very challenging and stressful. I will aim to keep each day fun and interesting for them. At the same time I will aim to carry on with my own every day routine like cooking, cleaning, taking care of the baby and working on my book.

I will start by breaking the day down into units of 20 minuets and aiming to do 20 minuet tasks just like I would do at eh weekend.

20 minuets breakfast
20 minuets get dressed
20 minuets work
20 minuets rest
20 minuets play
20 minuets snack
20 minuets rest
20 minuets work
20 minuets play
20 minuets work
20 play
20 lunch
20 rest

20 minuets (you get the picture) I am only looking at 20 minuet blocks to start off with due to the change of having 3 children at home full time and confined to a small space will be challenging.

I know that my attention span and able to do any thing is about 20 minuets. To chive more than this it take time and practice epically for children.

Some time my children will be happy to engage in an activity for longer than 20 minutes like watching TV or playing with cars.

But they can not so that every day, I would like then to continue with their education and I will be
need to look at fun ways to achieve this whilst maintaining day to day living too.

So I will see what support and guidance is offered to support me before Friday and then start to plans my daily activates.

"SMART SHOPPING"

14th March 2020 “SHOPPING SMART!”

Before anyone one goes out and starts buying any thing next week, maybe this weekend is the time to look a “SHOPPING SMART.” Take some time over the next 72 hours to clean your home and pull out everything that you have in your kitchen and bathroom; even check the attic or outbuildings.

How may of use will find food and other sinlessly supplies that we have forgotten about?

Also take this time to have a “CLEAN UP AND CLEAR OUT.” so that you know what it is that you really NEED.

Because at the moment it is TIME that is going to effect everyone in the long run and their are other things that I believe that people should be doing other that “PANIC BUYING” items that they think that they may need.

At the moment no one really knows what is going to happen in the next 3sec. 3min, 3hours, 3days, 3weeks, 3months, or 3 years.

To me 3 is the magic number. So proving you have three of everything that you may NEED, then it is a start.

  • It is the time that it takes of most products that we need to last. (food, warmth, shelver)
  • It is the length of time that it can can for something do be achieved or completed.(food, warmth, shelver)
  • It is usually the amount of time someone may have to have suitable amount of, food, warmth and shelter.
  • It it probably about the amount that people have to be financial secure and get (food, warmth, shelver)
  • It is usually the length of time one can aim to stay healthy, even if they are only living on baked beans. (food, warmth, shelver)

It is these 3 key things that everyone needs on a daily basis to stay health in mind, body and spirit.
(food, warmth, shelver)

So take some time to sit down over the next 72 hours and see what it is you need and then think of the needs of those around you.

Your family
Your Friends
Your Work Colleges
Your neighbours
Your local Community
Your Regional Community
Your National Community
Your Country.

Beacuse if you can not provide these three essential things for you self first in order to stay fit and well (food, warmth, shelver)

How are you going to provide then to other people.

So look at shopping smart because if we do not then what is to say the Government will not start steeping in and doing that for us.

I for one do not want that two happen, this should be a last resort.

That way when you do your shopping you know that you only need to buy one or up to three of something that you really need.

I always look at this way “ONE MEANS NONE.”

Roald Dahl's The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) 2006 | Animated Children's Boo...

Callan's Porthole "My window into life on the WaterWays" February Break

Callan's Porthole "My window into life on the WaterWays"  February Break, is almost to an end and we have not really done much with the boys due to the current out break of the Coronavirus that we have in the UK.

WE have chose to keep the boys at home and to focus on home activities and home work, including reading and writing mainly.  We have been reading "The BFG", and watching the movie so that Callan can compare the two and find out more about how film adaptations can change once the words of a story come to life.

I am looking at doing the Good Read, Reading Challenge with the boys again this year.  The aim is to read at lest 1 book per term from cover to back on their own.

At the moment Callan is achieving this and even taken over the bed time reading to his brother.

Callan's Porthole "My window into life on the WaterWays"

Due to family commitments a lot of my FB pages and blogs have been on the back burner.

Due to  having to movie every two week in the boat to comply with Canal and River trust Rules we gave up on evening having our annual photo at the top of the Ashby Canal with the boys.

It was my plain to take a photo every year and keep it a tradition that they would then hopefully pass on to they family.

Now that the boys are 6, 4 and 15 months we should aim to try and do this again.

But we do have about a three year gap where no photos have really been taken at all.

But we do have about a three year gap where no photos have really been taken at all about  life on the water ways.

So we will see what happens over the summer.

VHS TAPES “NEST EGGS” FOR THE FUTURE.

VHS TAPES “NEST EGGS” FOR THE FUTURE.

I am currently going thought my old VHS TAPES that I have found and will be looking at putting them on line to sell and to convert into DVD for my own person use. Any information on them that may be useful like old News Stories or Advents I will look at posting on line.

At the moment I have come across a film Called Apt Pupil on VHS by the Cinima Club.

Origonaly it was a book by Stephen King

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10618.Apt_Pupil

StephenKing.com - Apt Pupil

https://www.stephenking.com/library/movie/apt_pupil.html
Apt Pupil Formats: DVD / VHS Released (US):October 23rd, 1998. High school student, Todd Bowden (played by Brad Renfro), is fascinated by Nazi Germany. He discovers that a former SS war criminal, Kurt Dussander (played by Ian McKellen) is secretly living in his home town. Todd confronts Dussander and in exchange for his silence, blackmails ...

Currently on eBay this VHS Tape is retailed at around £1.99 + Postage so at the moment I will keep it. I aim to do this with some of my belongings for my children so that they can use them as a “Nest Egg.” In the FUTURE.

At rhe moment a lot of items have lost their value due to everyone knowing how to buy and sell online and globally.

For this reason a lot of the profit it items is lost and prices of items have be turned into pennies and on longer pounds.

So why to have a look though you own items and see what is worth , keeping, selling, recycling, upcycling, donating to charity.
